Let us tell you a bit about ourselves…
We love Lotto! A few years ago we were lucky enough to win a prize, it wasn’t a huge jackpot but at the time the money changed our lives completely.
Davey, aged 38 (my partner, now husband) was made redundant from his long time job as an IT consultant in London. With a baby on the way and a crippling mortgage in a leafy, but pricey suburb we began to panic about how we would meet our commitments.
Work was non-existent and I (Chrissie, aged 36) was on maternity leave, we had spent most of our savings on our home and our pending new addition to the family.
One evening Davey was surfing for new IT jobs on the laptop and by chance he found a website, the advert on the sidebar said “Make your own Luck”.
Davey told me he would be back soon and walked straight to our local shop and bought a Lotto ticket. One line, the computer picked the numbers. He put it in his pocket and forgot about it.
Two days later I was doing the washing and emptied his trouser pockets. There it was, I didn’t know it at the time but it was our Golden Ticket. I checked the numbers and shakily called Davey who was at the job centre. He couldn’t believe it! That moment changed our lives forever.
Once our baby was born and the complete shock of our win had subsided, Davey decided he didn’t want to work away all week as he had been previously.
We thought about how our lives had changed and we decided to build 5599zz.com with our best friends and neighbours Lily and Andrew who have been incredibly supportive friends to us throughout.
Our mission is to prove that lady luck is out there waiting to shine on you too – you just have to be patient and when the going gets tough, never give up!
